AFTER HOURS KIDS is a pediatric convenient care clinic staffed by Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioners as an after hours extension to Pediatric Associates of Austin, P.A.. It is supported and supervised by Pediatric Associates staff physicians in electronic communication with our Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. We are open to the general public as a service and will communicate by fax with their private pediatricians within 24 hours. AFTER HOURS KIDS is not a Primary Care Provider and as such, does not accept patients for on-going primary care.
Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNP) are first graduate Registered Nurses who then receive two years of advanced academic and clinical training. Certification requires a Master's Degree after a four-year undergraduate degree. The PNP team we have assembled has years of experience in the clinical setting. Two are currently faculty members at the University of Texas, School of Nursing in the Nurse Practitioner program. Each has worked from 3-10 years with Dr. Aiello in the University of Texas, School of Nursing, training clinic in Del Valle. Dr. Aiello has held an Associate Professor position with the U.T. School of Nursing for over 10 years, and has worked with Pediatric Nurse Practitioners since 1975. We think we have the perfect marriage of talent and setting to augment our practice's services. In addition to your co-pay, there is an additional $50 convenience fee which is not reimbursable by your insurance company.
There is a $30 convenience fee due at time of service. This is in addition to your usual co-pay.
We welcome patients from the community. If we are not on your insurance plan, you will receive a 20% discount when you pay at time of service. (If we do accept your insurance, you will pay only your co-pay plus the $30 convenience fee at time of visit, and we will file your insurance.)
